so it would seem that starbucks is going to start pimping movies in addition to music. something about wanting to become a media company as well as a coffee juggernaut. what i really don't get is why people would be willing to trust starbucks for a movie recommendation any more than they are willing to trust say your drive-thru worker for financial advice. meh.

it is far more likely that starbucks' pimpin' personnel have reviewed the media products offered than the drive-thru person is qualified to give financial advice.
nevermind that starbucks probably has market consultants suggest media poducts (couldn't be any worse than, say, the sentinel's movie reviewer), but even a latte-slinging slacker can go see a movie and generate an opinion, while financial advice is a little more advanced territory (though you're better off with your drive through person than me for most financial advice).
the thing that gets me about starbucks...or at least the one downtown, is that they kick you out at 6 pm. what the hell is that?
